Dr Nicholas Garrigan arrives from Scotland to help a Ugandan village - he becomes personal physician and main advisor to Idi Amin. (Uganda)
Tuesday 2nd February: Major General Idi Amin declares himself President of Uganda and Chief of the Armed Forces.
Friday 4th August: Dictator Idi Amin gives Uganda's 50,000 Asians 90 days to leave the country thanks to a dream. (Uganda)
Sunday 27th June: Air France Airbus Flight 139, hijacked by the PLO, lands at Entebbe International Airport at the invitation of Idi Amin. Dr Junju is shot dead for helping Dr Nicholas Garrigan - strung up by hooks and left for dead - escape the country. (Uganda)
