Wednesday 16th March: The first battle between yakuza loyal to Katsutoshi Otomo, gambling boss, and the powerful Muraoka Family; 2 dead, 8 injured. (Hiroshima, Japan)
Wednesday 23rd March: Katsutoshi Otomo's last powerful ally, Kanishi Tokimori, is gunned down by yakuza boss Shozo Hirano; this paves the way for a takeover of the Otomo forces by the Muraoka Family. Koichi Shimada, member of the Hirano Family takes the blame and is sentenced to 12 years in prison. (Hiroshima, Japan)
