Victoria the Great - timeline
20th June: It has pleased Almighty God to release from his sufferings his most excellent and gracious Sovereign King William IV. His Majesty expired in Windsor Castle at 12 minutes past 2 o'clock A.M. this day. The Princess Alexandrina Victoria is awakened at Kensington Palace by the Archbishop of Canterbury and informed that she is now Queen of England. (England)
21st June: Proclamation Day. From the balcony of St. James Palace, the 18-year-old Royal Princess Victoria is officially proclaimed Queen of Great Britain and Ireland and Defender of the Faith. Queen Victoria formally acknowledges her desire to retain Prime Minister Lord Melbourne and his Ministry at the Head of Affairs. (London England)
28th June: Coronation Day. Queen Victoria is crowned the Undoubted Queen of the Realm in Westminster Abbey. (London England)
11th October: Her Majesty Queen Victoria holds a dinner party followed by a dance in honour of H.S.H. Prince Ernest and H.S.H. Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Mr. Johann Strauss and his company of musicians once again have the honour of performing for Her Majesty. Victoria and Albert warm to one another during their first waltz together. Victoria informs Lord Melbourne that she has made up her mind and decides to propose marriage to Albert. (London England)
14th December: Despite assurances from the royal physician that he has "passed the worst", Albert, Prince Consort of the United Kingdom, dies with his beloved wife, Queen Victoria, at his side. (Windsor Castle, England)
22nd June: All the people of Great Britain rejoice in celebration of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Her Majesty's procession pauses outside St. Paul's Cathedral to acknowledge the outpouring of affection from her people. (London England)
